The reason why I cannot communicate with non-set people anymore...

During a re-lighting the DP and the Camera Operator end up arguing. The DP says sex is 90% work and only 10% pleasure. The Operator argues the opposite: 90% pleasure and 10% work.

They can't agree, so seek a 3rd party to arbitrate. The only person around is the Loader. They ask him his opinion. He asks them if he could speak freely, and they tell him to go ahead.

He answers, "Well, if you really ask my opinion, I'd say it's all pleasure, for if there was any work connected with it, you'd have me doing it!"

Strawberry Love

pic credits: Sara Galvao, May 2009

He was kinda like always
Little boy's freckles
Not so perfect smile
Eyes algae grass sea
And I don't know why
I that danced on that eyes' grass
I that embraced the leaves and branches of that look
I that swam and held my breath not to hurt his iris
And when I came up to catch my breath and good cheer and love pomegranates apples
Strawberries
I found him wallowing
In the darkness of my eyes.

A bit of poetry from Halina Poswiatowska

Photo copyright:Demonmiss27, 'Lonely Rose', Deviantart

share with me
the daily bread of my loneliness
fill with your presence
the absent walls
gild
the nonexistent window
be a door
above all a door
which can be thrown
wide open

And it's been three weeks...

Am I enjoying myself? Well, I think I'm starting to. I mean, it's not like it's been all partying and having fun, but I feel getting used to the city and its lovely from-all-over-the-world inhabitants. Plus, so far the school has been quite exciting, and I really feel I'm learning loads of things, most of them very useful for my future. These week while hearing about Avid non-linear system I was wondering how perceptive was Fernando Pessoa when he wrote: Primeiro estranha-se, depois entranha-se. Yes, I know he was speaking of Coca-Cola, but he also had the experience of changing from one country to another, so he knew what he was speaking. Though I never felt that an alien here. I mean, it was my dream since I was twelve, it is like I already know the city by heart (well, the most touristic areas, anyway), but apart from the strange concept of good food that they have, is quite homely around. People are nicer than one could thought about, if you keep an eye for bargains you can even spend less in food and other stuff than I would in Portugal, and the respect they have for culture and nature is quite inspiring. Going to the park just to read is not being nerd around here, it's being NORMAL. And I love to feel normal once in a while, thank you a lot. :D
